Is it too early...

... to start planning for Christmas? :)

I was looking for some x-ray films the other day and found this cross-stitch book. I was very happy to find it, let me tell you. I'd forgotten that I even own it!

Flipping through the pages put me instantly in the Christmas mood! I love traditional designs and this book has plenty of those.

There are a couple of designs that I want to stitch as gifts. :) Actually, I'd love to stitch many more but I'm such a slowpoke at stitching; "a couple" is a realistic target.

I have some small projects to do before I can start stitching. Can't wait!

J,
these motives are really pretty!
I started my Xmas stitching already too. Time is flying and Xmas is approaching fast. I planned a lot more pieces I'll be able to finish, I think.
It's good to see that you're going to cross-stitch again.

I guess I'm the only one who wishes Christmas were further away so I could have more time to plan for it! *G*
The designs are cute as can be and don't look like they'd take so much work they won't be fun.

I hope you're having a great week!

K: Oh, you've already started your Christmas stitching! You're so disciplined and such a good planner. I can't wait to see what you've stitched. You're right - time is flying by! I have so many things I want to make and I have to start soon (like last week)!

Brandy: I wish I had more time too, all the time! :D

You'll celebrate Thanksgiving first, before giving your full attention to Christmas? Here, we don't celebrate Thanksgiving so we focus on Christmas as early as Sept. :D Crazy, I know.

You're right - these designs are quite quick and uncomplicated to stitch. Even so, I think each one will take at least 6 hours to finish.

It seems that every year other Holidays are pushed to the side and Christmas looms earlier and earlier. There are already Christmas ornaments and decorations next to the Halloween items on the shelves. It's sad, actually.

Hope you're doing well!

No Jace, its never to early! If you have the desire to create or plan for christmas I'd go for it. Especially if there is anything you'd like to stock in your shop or give as gifts since you can run out of time and energy later. I've made a couple of holiday necklaces already and it was fun!

Brandy: I can imagine that - Halloween and Christmas merchandise being displayed side-by-side. :)

Starry: Oh, you're an early starter too! :D It's really good to know that many of you (my friends) have started planning for Christmas already so I don't feel odd anymore. :D

:D We did say we wanted to do it, didn't we? Too late now, I'm afraid. Perhaps next year? ;)
